The Woman Remembers is a projection mapped outdoor work about belonging and loss. The project has evolved from a long-term collaboration between independent theatre companies in Queensland, New Zealand and Japan. For this iteration, Belloo Creative teamed with Good Company Arts (New Zealand) and Phluxus2 Dance Collective (Brisbane) to share a poetic piece of visual storytelling on the façade of the Judith Wright Arts Centre (Brisbane) from 1 November 2021 to 2 January 2022, nightly. The Woman Remembers is a work of scale and beauty addressing our relationship to landscape and our experience of climate emergency.
